About the Artist:"I studied at the Academy of Fine Art in İstanbul, earning my Masters Degree in Stage and Visual Arts in 1979." "I started painting in high school and entering competitions during this time. I have won an award in the first year of my studies with “50 Years of the Republic of Turkei”. The motivation behind this theme inspired me for a long time." "I have always been impressionist painter, primarily using oils. My subjects are generally about social and cultural life, natural beauty, seascape, and portraits. Every artistic object affects me, I create them in my mind, color gives me inspiration. Sentimental looks and longings are very important so I am looking for the beauties of each subject with all of my soul." "Artistic scenes always have been fascinating to me, vivid color and the power of light are indispensable components of my works." "Between 1979 and 2001, I designed more than one hundred theater sets and costumes at the State Theater. I continued painting at the same time as an impressionist painter primarily concentrating on landscapes, nature, seascapes and nude portraits." "I have studied and researched painting and theater arts in the United States, Canada, and England extensively." Prizes: "I am member of International Association of
Art (I.A.A. UNESCO)" |
