Beth Carlson’s gift with painting has made her the choice of many animal lovers and Sporting art collectors across the country. Because of her extensive background with animals, she consistently captures the individual personality as well as the physical characteristics of her subjects. Throughout her life she has successfully trained and shown horses and dogs to numerous championships. As a result, she understands her subjects well. She has studied with the top masters in the country; Werner Rentsch, President of the American Academy of Equine Art, Sam Savitt, official artist for the United States Equestrian Team, Robert Abbett, the renowned sporting dog artist, and Daniel Greene, one of America’s leading portrait painters. Her paintings have graced the covers of The Chronicle of the Horse, Gray’s Sporting Journal and The Pointing Dog Journal. Galleries represent her work across the country. She is also an Associate Member of the prestigious Women Artists of the West.
