About the Artist

Australia captured on canvas

Western Australian artist Emma Blyth is well known for her bright, vibrant creations that reflect the true beauty of the Australian landscape from the rugged outback to the picturesque beaches of the south west.

Emma is inspired by her extensive travels through every corner of the country, and reflects her passion for colour and vibrancy in her unique translations of 'culture to canvas'. "My love of Australia is obvious…I love capturing the simplicity of life in this unique part of our country on canvas".

A passion for art has resonated within Emma for as long as she can remember, encouraged by her father who is also an artist. 'We would sit down on the lounge room floor and I would try to impress my Dad with my colourful scribbles," she says.

A diploma in graphic design led to the start up of a design business in Mandurah before the popularity of Emma’s art within business projects enticed her to commit to full time artistry in 2001."The growing interest in my artworks has thankfully allowed me to concentrate full time on my passion of painting our beautiful country in bright colours and lively brushstrokes".

Emma’s fun, simplistic style of painting has seen demand for her artworks soar between Mandurah and Broome. One of her better known local projects has been the theme artwork for the Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest, and she has contributed to a number of community charities and projects such as Telethon, Royal Flying Doctor Service and Peel Health Campus. Her work can also be seen throughout Seashells Resorts in Mandurah, Scarborough and Broome.

Exhibiting her work in a number of galleries and projects around Western Australia as well as a customer base extending around the world has meant that Emma Blyth’s artworks have reached unprecedented exposure on a private consumer level, driving her success as a full time artist.
